What are the Market hours?
Our market is indoors and allows for new opportunities without the vendors being out in the weather selling their products. Our hours are 9am-6pm Wednesday-Friday and 9am-12noon on Saturdays starting in summer of 2018.
Do you accept SNAP/EBT?
Yes! We are the only farmers market in Cole County that accepts SNAP/EBT benefits to provide fresh and local food for everyone! We use a token system for customers so they can be exchanged at individual vendors for eligible food.
What about WIC?
While our vendor products don’t generally meet the stricter food guidelines of WIC , we have a dollar matching program for WIC beneficiaries. Present your WIC id folder to the market booth and $10 of your own, personal money to buy tokens and we will match it with $10 of additional tokens for you to spend at the market, doubling your buying power for fresh, local food.
How local is the food I am buying ?
Most members will reside, grow, and/or make their products in Cole County or a county adjacent to Cole County. Some exceptions may be made to get enough desirable food into the Market.
How do I know my food is safe?
Short answer………Know your farmer! However, all vendors are required to be compliant with the health code in Jefferson City and Cole County, just like any other food store. This is a responsibility that all members take seriously. Indeed, this is the food the farmers eat and also use to feed their own families!
How do I become a vendor?
Complete the Market application, found in our VENDOR section on this website and pass the board evaluation.
Why is Market membership limited ?
Membership is limited for several reasons….
*Physical space limitation inside the building
*Over all fit and mix with product at the market…examples: it would be impractical to have 5 apple vendors or 10 knife sharpeners or 7 bakers or even one fresh, local pineapple vendor from Hawaii!

Are pets allowed indoor at the Market?
In general pets are not allowed inside. The only animals permitted are ADA compliant service dogs. They must meet all other requirements in Jefferson City and Cole County, such as current rabies shot and restrained by leash.
